As your doula, my role is to offer calm, steady support, a nurturing presence, and the guidance you need to feel confident and cared for through every contraction, every decision, and every unexpected turn.

"Julie has been so much more than a doula. She is a caring, loving friend. She went above and beyond my expectations as a doula. When I went into labor she was in contact with me via phone. Giving me advice, checking in, and keeping me calm. Once I was ready to head to the hospital, I let her know. She met me there early in the morning. Stayed with me for my long labor. I felt at ease with her by my side. She was very encouraging, guiding me to exercise and keep moving. The essential oils also made a positive impact on my mood. We had deep conversations that allowed me to stay occupied and keep going! She supported me in all my decisions. Once the baby arrived, she took some beautiful pictures to capture the moment in the chaos. Thank you once again, dear Julie. I appreciate your support during an important time in my life."

"I honestly cannot imagine having gone through the birth of our baby without the doula services by Julie and her daughter Lauren, and am so grateful to the Breezy Doula and Bree for providing this service. When I say that they were there for us every step of the way, I mean literally every step. Through 30 hours of labor they were with us, guiding and coaching and literally holding me up… I could never have done it without them. The value that having a doula provides is priceless, I truly think every birthing mother should have one! Having someone to assist with the process is everything, I can’t express enough how invaluable it is. Julie was always there for us, answering every question we had before the due date with patience and expertise. When my wife started experiencing early contractions, Julie responded promptly, even in the middle of the night. She came to our home, helping my wife manage the pain and progress through labor with calm, loving guidance. In the hospital, Julie was our rock--by our side every second, empowering us to make the best decisions. "Julie gave us the peace of mind and confidence we needed throughout labor, delivery, and the post-birth experience. From our very first consultation, she took her time, answered all our questions thoroughly, and provided an incredible amount of helpful information. As first-time parents, we walked away from that meeting feeling so much more clarity and reassurance about the entire process.

Julie was able to recognize the early signs of labor—even after the midwife I had seen that same day said otherwise. Thanks to her intuition and experience, we were able to prepare knowing that labor would likely begin later that day. While I labored at home, Julie guided me through contractions using a variety of pain-relief techniques. I truly believe she is the reason I was able to labor at home for as long as I did. Her support also gave my husband the opportunity to pack our last-minute things for the hospital without worrying about me being alone.

At the hospital, Julie was a strong advocate for me—especially when I couldn’t speak up for myself. When my first nurse was hesitant to adjust my position after I received the epidural, Julie got creative and suggested alternative positions that still made the nurse comfortable while helping to move the baby down. Once the nurses changed shifts, Julie worked seamlessly with the new team, adjusting my position every 30 minutes, which helped my labor progress much more quickly.

She consistently let me know what to expect and helped me mentally and physically prepare for each phase (like encouraging me to rest between position changes so I’d be ready to push). Throughout it all, Julie empowered us to make informed, confident decisions—even when plans changed unexpectedly.

"When we conceived, we immediately started our search for a doula who’d be an advocate, help us navigate the medical system, coach me through the intensity of labor, and provide steady support throughout the process. Julie did all of that and so much more.
She was fiercely by my side every step of the way. Always quick to text or call when complications arose, yet fully present and engaged during every in-person meeting. When it came time for the birth, the process ended up being longer and more intense than we had expected, but Julie never wavered. She was a grounding force, firm and steady, while still laughing at my jokes and holding space for exactly the birth I needed.
Even though things didn’t go according to plan, I always felt empowered. A huge part of that was because of Julie. Her presence helped ensure that, despite medical interventions, I left the hospital in pure baby bliss. I am forever grateful for her."
